"my farmers are going to say that’s a good thing since they’ll be able to grow more corn.”"

This statement is valid for canada and the northern plains, altough in truth 2008 has been colder than it was 10 years prior - no warming.

Whether its gets warmer or colder, the added CO2 will help in plant growth in any case. More CO2 is good for plants and good therefore for many farmers.

Yeah, like Al Gore and his mock-umentary.

"the truth is the 1930s was a warmer decade than the last decade."

This is true for the USA.

"What I object to about this report is some of the language in this is sort of almost Stalinistic, that there’s an unequivocal conclusion that it’s inarguable that this is happening, that there’s overwhelming agreement among the scientists. None of that is true"

This is correct. You can see refutations of the egregious lies and distortions in the Obama admin report in Prof Pielke's blog.
http://rogerpielkejr.blogspot.com/2009/06/obamas-phil-cooney-and-new-ccsp-report.html

The Obama admin reports completely distorted the science on hurricanes - there is NO link, yet they said there was. The science says otherwise.

There is science vs Climate-Change-is-a-crisis hysteria. Obama admin has gone the way of peddling hysteria. Shame on them.

afisher: Who was the legislator who wanted warmer weather? We can help their election opponents with the flood insurance bills.

The term "global warming" should be abandoned by all. The argument made by those with absolutely no knowledge, say "gee, it is colder than usual" so obviously there isn't any global warming.

These deniers refuse to acknowledge what is happening to the polar ice cap...so let's use "Climate Change"!

There was a legislator from MN who actually wanted it to get warmer in his state...because it was a bad / harsh winter...freezing temps, flooding, etc. Yeah, it was rhetoric, but frustrating to hear a supposed learned legislator talk as if he was an expert, not a pundit.

The "say it enough and it becomes conventional wisdom" is a scary reality when you have these yo-yo's talking non-stop and without a true discussion by a broad panel of experts.

Someone really young needs to keep all these clips and pass them on to the generations who will suffer the effects of those deniers if their attempts stop any regulation succeed.
