In fact, I used to refute all the Right-wing hyperbole over the imagined threat of "Ahmadinejad" and "his pursuit of nuclear weapons" to "wipe Israel off the face of the map" (which would kill millions of Palestinians) by pointing out that "the President of Iran" is akin to the "U.S. Secretary of State", a policy adviser with no real power to make unilateral decisions.

But it never seemed to matter. Righties had it in their heads that "President" in Iran meant the same thing as "President" in the United States.

Now suddenly, on the verge of a possibly historic foreign policy victory for President Obama, suddenly, Ahmadinejad isn't all that important.

<strong>"I didn't want that chocolate cake anyway! Cake is icky!"</strong>

Somehow, I'm not buying it.
