A Republican energy plan launched with great fanfare attempts to deny the threat of global warming out of existence. Today, Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), the leader of the Republican “American Energy Solutions Group” and a prominent denier of climate change science, unveiled the latest repackaging of Bush-era dirty energy policies. The “American Energy Act” confronts the problem of greenhouse gases head on — by prohibiting their regulation:

The Republican response to our dependence on fossil fuels and their pollution is to give billions of dollars in new tax breaks and subsidies to the oil, coal, and nuclear industries, while rolling back environmental protections, despite the claims of their Orwellian talking points.
Further following George Orwell’s principles of Newspeak, the GOP website that trumpets this dirty legislation as an “all-of-the-above solution” attempts to erase the climate threat from existence by leaving out mention of global warming in the bill’s talking points document and summary. Unfortunately for Pence and his climate denier colleagues, they haven’t figured out how to rewrite the laws of physics as well.

Climate change — specifically global warming — is not only here, and caused by increased and accelerating human activity, it will be twice as severe as previous estimates indicate, according to a new study published this month in the Journal of Climate, a publication of the American Meteorological Society.

LOL
Summer if you really believe that hogwash I feel sorry for you. If you’re going to worry about something, why not worry about something real…like the government expanding their control over our daily lives, all in the name of something that can’t be proven scientifically. Do some research and stay away from the politically guided organizations.
June 12th, 2009 at 12:52 pmThere is no credible debate over the science of global warming. It’s here, we caused it and we can stop it. See the IPCC report 2008. http://www.ipcc.ch/

My advice to you – study the science, and ignore the political science. The IPCC is controlled by the United Nations.
Consider Roy Spencer’s paper on negative feedback.
Consider this commentary by retired National Weather Service meteorologist Michael Mogil.
Consider Stephen Wilde’s explanation of The True Climate Mechanisms and our planet’s natural equilibrium.
Ask yourself why you believe the politicians and the scientists who are supported by government funding. Have you considered what might happen to their careers if they acknowledged the truth – that global warming is NOT a crisis?

Summer:
My advice to you – study the science, and ignore the political science. The IPCC is controlled by the United Nations.
Consider Roy Spencer’s paper on negative feedback.
Ignore the political science. . . and then put up a guy who’s spent much of his career being funded by a lobbying group that represents Exxon Mobil?
Consider Stephen Wilde’s explanation of The True Climate Mechanisms and our planet’s natural equilibrium.
Consider that the Royal Meteorological Society, of which Mr Wilde is a member, ENDORSED THE FINDINGS OF THE IPCC with regards to the role of man in climate change.
Ask yourself why you believe the politicians and the scientists who are supported by energy industry funding. Have you considered what might happen to their careers if they acknowledged the truth – that global warming IS a crisis?
June 15th, 2009 at 10:08 amAll life is ultimately constructed of CO2 + H2O plus ash yet our restoration to the atmosphere of a bit of that quintessential “green” gas sequestered by creation in previous incredibly lush epochs causes paroxysms of fear based on ever diminishing evidence that an extra molecule or two per 10,000 will fry the planet .
120 to 150 year old classical physics ( see my http://CoSy.com for the implementation ) shows that our mean temperature is inextricably constrained to be about 1/21st the temperature the sun decides to be and currently the sun is demonstrating that it overrules even the most arrogant politicians by an unusual pause between sun spot cycles causing yet another year colder than the last .
It’s clear the days of power of the true believers in always improbable alarmism are coming to a rapid end . We supposedly non-existent “realists” , aided by a quiet sun , are crushing their astoundingly junk “science” .
