I would think the one which is ignorant is you lefties that bend over every time Obama feels like he needs more adulation. GITMO is serving a purpose and this inexperienced Senator, now inexperienced President, will find he has tripped over his tongue once more.
Should GITMO close it is my desire that these terrorist be sent not only to your city but to your street so that you can experience for the first time in your life, what a hate filled terrorist thinks about you and your family. I can only wish.

The “insurgents with whom we are currently fighting” will stop resisting when we withdraw our murder machines from their countries and stop murdering their families. The Polish insurgents stopped fighting when the Nazis withdrew from Poland. The Vietnamese insurgents stopped fighting when the US stopped murdering the people of Vietnam. The Afghanis and Iraqis will stop fighting when the Zionist-controlled US and its allies stop their war of aggression against the Afghan and Iraqi people. Rocket science this aint.

That said, does anyone really think that closing Gitmo will make any of the insurgents with whom we are currently fighting stop? I don’t.
