The glitch in the Matrix is otherwise known as socialism. True capitalism would have let them and all the others fail while the well ran, quality companies would have swooped in and picked up the pieces.

What a load of crap. Just for truth in posting, I work for Citi. This will save the company but it is not a “sweet” deal. It will reduce the dividend to .01 which will make it harder to get investors. Also, this is a loan which Citi will have to pay back at what will work out to be 8% interest which is much higher than the Fed gets for loaning money currently. The government will make a lot of money on this because Citi will pay it back and will start to loan money and boosting the economy.
