Great post and great commentary Matt.

I'd love to ask these people: Wasn't Iran an ally in our initial invasion of Afghanistan?

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/showdown/themes/slapface.html

Oh, that's right they were until we called them the Axis of Evil.

Our nation continues to wish instability on the world by strong-arming every unfortunate soul who makes the error of helping us. Accuse me of being a "Blame America Firster" but try to point out one thing we've helped stabilized other than former Yugoslavia since WWII. Installing the Shah in Iran, overthrowing numerous Central and South America leaders, funding and arming numerous warts globally including Bin Laden and Saddam...

I love the privledge of living in America but refuse to accept the idea that we as a nation actually want stability in the world. When so much of our economy and strength is reliant on instability, it seems foolish to believe otherwise.

I guess we have to hear about how powerful and what an imminent threat Iran is for the next 4 years.

We need to make a decision. Either start killing everyone or start living with everyone. We have been at war for almost 6 years now with nothing to show for it except a morally bankrupt republican party and a bankrupt nation.
