The last thing I want to have to do is shop around for health insurance. I like that my employer has a broker who does that for us. The tax credit means that suddenly I'll be paying more taxes on my salary because instead of untaxed health care benefits, I may get more money which I will have to pay taxes on. McCain's plan seems a whole lot of nothing and there will still be millions without healthcare. Tax credits don't matter much to the people who currently don't have health insurance.

The real health plan needed is having everyone covered no matter what their income level or tax bracket, everyone.
Why add all the confusion of tax credit, etc.
When everyone is covered this will no longer be used for politics.
Other countries understand the value of a healthy population. The work force performs better and the overall cost of health care is less.
Healthy people cost less to care for than people in different stages of ill-health depending on their level of health coverage or non at all.
Non of this is new.Only greed has prevented uni-care.

Wake up, Rip van McCain! Lower benefits and increased premium sharing is a twenty year trend in America.

Quit passing around that tired old Al Hubbard line about "gold plated insurance". Only CEO's have it, and maybe a few retirees.

Oh yeah, and your bait & switch on tax credits? I see through the huge dump onto the employee. Employers will shed that pesky benefit like a used condom, should the McCain Health Care Pain pass. (And I don't mean plan, McCain's initiative will cause widespread pain.)
