		<description>Well, the Senate Republicans went AWOL on the Bill because the Dems have conceded the point, and they can get their precious offshore oil drilling when the moratorium is allowed to lapse...

It means they don&#039;t have to spend a penny on a real &#039;all &lt;em&gt;of the above&lt;/em&gt;&#039; package. (We all know that their definition of &#039;&lt;em&gt;all&lt;/em&gt;&#039; only includes coal, gas, oil, and nuclear). Plus they won&#039;t have to swallow the distance-from-shore limits proposed in the Dem Bill.

Congressional Dems dropped the ball with this one, they allowed themselves to get outmanoeuvred by the GOP.

One saving grace may be that when the moratorium finally lapses in the near future the Republicans lose their pathetic election chant, and the public will see the nonexistent benefit.

Then it will be interesting to see the Republicans explain away their promises of a &#039;psychological&#039; effect on oil prices, and really explain why we won&#039;t see any oil for 10 years.</description>
