A question like "Do you favor increasing off short oil drilling to reduce the price of gasoline?" contains an assumption that increasing off shore oil drilling *will* reduce the price of gasoline. However, that assumption is the subject of much debate. The question may gauge nothing more than the respondent's desire to see the price of gasoline reduced.

I do wonder what would happen if the polls reflected the true problem at hand. For example, 'Would you like your politicians to vote for approaches that the government's own Energy Information Administration says will not work, such as off-shore drilling, or would you like them to vote for solutions such as conservation and investing in alternative energy, which have worked so well in many European countries?'

Oh. And did the darkness of people in general, prompt glass to glow through with light? Nope! Rather, with energy, its CEO's looking out for the general welfare, who decide! No brainer!
