The 2006 press release from the Minerals Management Service says that 146 spills were reported and:

"Six spills of 1,000 barrels or greater were reported; the largest of these was 3,625 barrels of condensate reported by the Gulf South Pipeline Company in the Eugene Island Block 51 area."

However, just recently, the MMS released a web page called "Setting The Record Straight," which says "There were no major
spills (2,381 barrels per spill or greater) according to USCG official standards [USCG standard is at least 2,382 barrels to
be called 'major']."

Last time I checked, 3,625 barrels was greater than 2,381 barrels. So why isn't the largest spill listed in the new summary as a "major" spill?
