"LiberalVoter", I've tried discussions with your ilk but find you all impervious to logic. Thousands of scientists disagree with the Global Warming crowd and publish all over. Of course, your next step is to prattle on about consensus (despite the aforementioned disagreement) and conduct an ad hominem against anyone who would dare disagree.

Oh, yes, myopia may have been better than coining my own word but I got my point across.

Howlerdog, forget about getting a real answer from a troll. If they bother to answer, it us usually tripe like the one here or one that points to BBC4, the bastard relative of Fox. When they act like this, rather than looking for a real discussion, ignoring them is the best option.

Actually, Republican politicians have been unpopular with Republican constituents because the politicians have been either behaving like Democrats or not fighting the Dems effectively.

It's nice to see some spine from the GOP.

btw. I wonder what you guys will do when you realize you've been had on Catastrophic Global Warming.

The Republican strategy has always been to prevent the Democrats from moving forward on legislation. McConnell made this clear in a public speech. It is no different on this bill. What seems to be lacking is a unified Democratic response. The Democrats should be running ads on television in every competitive house and senate race with excerpts of the strategy document and McConnell's speech. They need to make it known that the only way to get action is to give the Democrats a larger majority. You start it at the house and senate race level. When McCain cannot control racist attacks on Obama by 527's and state parties, the Democrats can simply question his abilities as a leader in being unable to control his obstructionist party.

Reid is absolutely correct! The reason the Senate has such a poor approval rating is because nothing is being done. The GOP has seen to that, and now here's proof that shows the Republican's game plan all along has been to clog-up the process. Reid's (and the US citizen's) frustration with this current administration is justified, it's not an act of malice (as some would like to think).
