Americans must learn that the only way for universal health care coverage is for the government to guarantee it. The US is the only developed country to not guarantee universal health coverage. If I happen to visit say UK I am guaranteed health coverage. In the US where I am a taxpaying citizen I am not. We are overly concerned about terror from outside the country we fail to protect our citizens from everyday illnesses. Harry Truman started lobbying for health care and it has been nearly 60 years and still we cannot protect our own citizens. We are great proponents of open and free markets but when it comes to health care it is woefully inadequate to be non-existent.
