In spite of knowing better, I thought that he had figured the situation out and would start at least being environmentally responsible. He wasn't, of course. Well, if Bush ways the right things but doesn't do them, this makes him into a liar never to be trusted, totally irresponsible and should have been impeached long ago. If one doesn't know what is going on, one should at least be curious enough to try to find out. I remember about 7 years ago on Earth Day, Bush made a speech in which he said all of the right things. My main concern: that this is part of a triangulation strategy to make Bush look like the conservative approach, Lieberman-Warner as somehow the aggressive approach, and <a href="http://energysmart.wordpress.com/2008/03/21/mcflip-mcflop-mcsame/" rel="nofollow">McFlip, McFlop, McSame McCain</a> the just right approach to Global Warming legislation. <a href="http://energysmart.wordpress.com/2008/02/16/fix-or-ditch-lieberman-warner-reason-327-its-smart-politics/" rel="nofollow">Lieberman-Warner is already inadequate</a>, not meeting the <a href="http://energysmart.wordpress.com/2008/02/14/global-warming-legislation-what-matters/" rel="nofollow">basic principles</a> that we should see in legislation.
